SCHOOL GROUP INFORMATION
From Pre-School to High School
We thoroughly enjoy hosting field trips! It allows us to share our knowledge and enthusiasm for these misunderstood and amazing animals. We aim to make your field trip easy, organized, educational, fun, and memorable. We host all age groups and interest levels- from preschool all the way to senior citizen bus trips; from special needs groups to educators wanting to improve their classroom lessons. We simply customize our presentations and discussions to our audience. Our programs cover general topics and concepts of arthropods and insects and can be used as an introduction or an addition to classroom curriculum. We are one level and all exhibits are indoors and handicapped-accessible. Discounted rates are available for groups that schedule a program in advance. Â
Whether you have a group of 15 or 200, we’d love to customize your visit according to age, size of your group, and the time you have available.

Scouts
Scouts can arrange a customized program during regular business hours that fit their specific needs. Whether a presentation, a guided tour or an outreach program at your next meeting, our staff will create the best experience for fun and learning. Scout BugOut
Insectropolis offers extended hours from 4 pm to 6 pm the third Wednesday of the month from November to May for scouts to specifically work towards badges. We provide a guided tour and touch presentation, which together is approximately 1 hour. Tour times are 4 pm, 4:30 pm and 5 pm. Reservations and payment in advance are required. Cost is $10 per visitor, regardless of age.

CAMPS
Have a bugtastic time!
We are willing to condense our program or even open early for your group if need be. We work with you in order to ensure that everyone leaves us happy and more knowledgeable.
Here's how your visit would run: Each group of approx. 30 would get their own tour guide (ideally, that will coincide with each class or age group). Each group will start at a different area in our museum simultaneously. A guide will work with your staff to keep the group together, point out areas of interest, answer questions, and allow campers the chance to touch live bugs along the way. A tour lasts about 1 hour. After the tour, groups can visit the restroom and/or gift shop before you leave our museum to go have lunch at a local park, on the bus ride, or back at your facility since we do not offer an eating area.
Bugs on the Go - Outreach Program
Insectropolis can bring a variety of live bugs and exotic pinned specimens to your location or event. Our displays will encourage guests to investigate and celebrate the diversity of life. Through dynamic and interactive presentations, participants gain an understanding of the structure, characteristics, and basic needs of these often-misunderstood tiny animals.  The program is easily adaptable to any age level and can be used in conjunction with classroom lessons or as a stand-alone experience.
BIRTHDAYS AT INSECTROPOLIS
Know a bug enthusiast with a birthday coming? Enjoy a Bug Bash at Insectropolis!
This Unique and Memorable Experience includes one hour guided exploration followed by 30 minutes in our party roomÂ
During your Bug Bash you and your guests will:

 We offer Bug Bash on the Go where we bring the fun to your home!
This interactive program where your guest can see live bugs up close and touch them will be the highlight to your gathering.
